Csepel II
The Csepel II Plant is a combined-cycle gas turbine (CCGT) power station with 403 MW of electrical capacity and the option to supply district heat. The power station has two gas turbines, which are connected to two heat recovery steam generators (HRSG) to provide steam for the steam turbine. At the site there is a Water Treatment Plant with four hot water boilers and one auxiliary steam boiler to supply district heat. There are transfer and storage facilities as well as an installation for gas reduction and filtering.
The power station’s main fuel is natural gas, and distillate may also be burned as a backup fuel.
Nearly 7% of the annual demand of Hungary is produced at Csepel II, which is connected to the national grid at 120 kV.
